You may have to release both sprockets to fit it in.

The timing chain should not routinely need changing, but perhaps the tensioner does.
Try first to eliminate any other causes, like the bearings in the fan, drive belt idlers, or alternator. A useful tool is a long screwdriver which you can apply to the various areas while placing your ear to the top of it while the motor idles.
Be very careful to keep clear of moving parts like fan blades.

Remove drive belt. Remove bolt and belt tensioner assembly. Reverse procedure to install

By chain sound do you mean a metalic rattle when you ride off?
I will assume that is not making that sound at idle. It could be that your cam chain has stretched and needs to either be replaced or tensioned.

If it is a pinking sound, sort of like someone tapping on a tin can with a coin. Then that is most likely preignition which isn't good for your engine. Why octane/RON fuel do you use?

check the cam chain tensioners.
