Should only be 2 wires back there. Look at the opposite working side and it will have 2 wires also, one the same color and one a different color. The 2 wires matching in color are your ground wires for each side. Then you have a color for left and another color for right...Good luck

Usually when you install LEDs, because of the difference in the voltage draw, to work correctly you need to install a "load equalizer".

Do the rear turn signals light, but not flash?
If so, that's most likely the problem.

How or where do I unplug and then remove the rear turn signal from an '03 Fatboy?

The wire connection should plug into the taillight. Remove the lens and you will see what I'm talking about. You will need to remove the black connector after you unplug it and probably cut the silver plug off to get the wire through the standoff. If you're good at soldering, just cut wires about 2 inches from the black connector and solder them back together and coverr the splice with heat shrink when finished. Good luck!

If you have two wires that go to the turn signal and they don't work one way. You could try them switched around.
This is for a turn signal that is NOT also a running light. (Yellow Lens to Rear)
Use a test light and turn on the turn signal test both wires with the test light clipped to the ground or chassis of the bike. The wire that causes the light to blink will be the positive or hot side. That wire should attach to the bottom of the bulb.
The other wire is the Ground or common and that should attach to the side of the bulb holder.

Have you looked under the seat for your fuses? Remove the seat by removing the two large bolts, one on each side of the seat near the forward ends of the fender struts. They use a large hex key or allen wrench. Lift and pull to the rear to get the seat off.

The purple wire is the turn signal wire, the blue wire is the running light wire, and the black wire is the ground wire.
