Pull the float bowl and float bowl gasket off the carburetor.
Place the carburetor upside down and let the float rest against the float needle.
Measure the distance between the gasket surface located on the bottom of the carburetor to the edge of the float. On a 24 mm Mikuni card, the distance between the gasket surface and the float should be 1 inch. On a 20 mm Mikuni carburetor it should be 7/8-inch.
Bend the metal tab on the float that rests against the float needle. Bend it towards the float needle if the measurement is shallow and away from the needle if the measurement is too much.
Use a pair of needle-nose pliers, making very small adjustments to the metal tab and then recheck the measurement.

SOURCE: Mixture screw on Carb

I believe it is near the bottom, around where the float bowl meets the carb body.. You need a straight small screwdriver (Short) facing upward.

Mikuni bs32ss doing a carb sync. Where to attach vacuum hose and which screw to adjust. Even the "manual" doesn't identify which screw or where to attach hose. Pictures would be nice. Thanks

Each carb has a small vacuum port on the side above the float bowl, you adjust the idle stop screw to set the tune and sync the carbs. Leave the air fuel mixture screws alone.

Why did you need to clean the carb? Routine servicing of the aircleaner would keep the carb clean for life. The pilot screw should be 1.5 turns out approx. with a small adjustment either way. Idle speed is set to a smooth low idle.If this doesn't fix it have you got something in the carb not replaced correctly? The float needle/float assy? How did you clean it? Have you introduced fluff/dirt into the carb and did you blow it clean with an airline?
