I have bmw e36 318is coupe.problem dim in the glass

Good lord there are fuses everywhere in that truck if I remember right, you'd have been better off asking about the problem I think.. try here

find your truck, pull up the PDF then on your keyboard hit the find box (F3?) punch in "fuse" and run down the list...

For the basic panel

It is a cylinder type relay. You will find two, one for the hazzard lights and the other for the signals.

You will have to do a valve clearance set, a mechanic will know how to do this, hope this helps

If the temperature control is on cool....sounds like you have other problems with AC. ( compressor not working, needs R134,) Check under the hood for a box that has fuses in it, their are also relays in it. Look for the relay marked AC.

If no codes are set, run some tests. Fuel pressure? when failing do you still have nice fat blue spark at plugs (don't check this by holding wire near a ground as this could damage elect. system)? What do you do to get it to start?

that is normal when it start going into the red that is bad

would need head under bonnet to be sure but i suspect a water pump impeller is loose on the drive shaft they are a plasric impeller on a metal shaft and from your description it soulnds like this is the case

DOES THE ROLL DOWN FUNCTION WORK FROM THE DOOR CYLINDER WITH THE KEY?HAVE ANY FLUIDS EVER GOT ONTO THE SWITCHES?DO THE LIGHTS DIM SLIGHTLY ON THE DASH WITH KEY ONBUT ENGINE IS OFF AND THE WINDOW SWITCHES ARE DEPRESSED?IF THEY DO ITS DRAWING CURRENT.CHECK FOR STUCK GLASS OR BAD WINDOW REGULATOR/MOTOR.IF THEY DON'T DIM THEN CHECK FOR BROKEN WIRING OR POOR SWITCH.

There are many different coolants and if you mix 2 different ones together they can react and turn into a gel which don't do the car much good! the best way is look what colour coolant is in the system already and as long as you use the same colour coolant it will be fine, main colour coolants are green,blue pink and orange, green and blue can be mixed together as can orange and pink but Pink cannot be mixed with blue or green, i would guess the coolant in your car will be the pink stuff but please check 1st, hope this has been usefull to you.

Hi , this sound like the window lifter has broken , it is quite simple to replace , if you car is a salloon you can replace this with no special tools , however if you have a convertable or a coupe you nead the special tool to be able to adjust the window glass after the lifter has been replaced . hope this helps , regards mark .

Yes you have an E46, You need to order the UK drivers side glass and make sure you specify it's a coupe. the saloons have a different wing mirror.
