I was riding to day and started to notice a squeaky noise. If I gassed on it it seemed to get louder. And it seemed to top when I pulled in my clutch. Any ideas?? Ben
The engine and gearbox are a single unit. They both are using the same oil supply. When was the last time you changed the oil? When was the last time you checked the oil level? What oil are you using? The engine and gearbox are a single unit. They both are using the same oil supply. When was the last time you changed the oil? When was the last time you checked the oil level? Here are two halves of the main wiring diagram for a 1982 Magna. Sorry I didn't have a scanner, but if you print these two pictures I took with my phone you should be able to tape them into one diagram. You didn't specify if there was one particular area in the wiring harness that you are interested in. There are more detailed pictures of specific wiring area in the shop manual.
An exhaust on a vehicle is made up of several different sections that transport used combustion gasses from the vehicle's engine to the back or side of the vehicle. The pipes incorporate several silencers (mufflers) to reduce noise. If you notice a sudden increase in noise from your vehicle, especially when you rev the engine, you probably have a hole in your exhaust.
i would say check your bearing, something like this is hard to finger out without being next to the bike. Dose it get louder the faster you go? Dose the bike want to pull when your stopped witht he clutch in??

It seems like the clutch pressure plate has given in. Best would be to replace the clutch pro-kit.( Clutch pressure plate, clutch plate and release bearing)
the clicking noise sounds like a berring getting ready to fail the fact you said that it seemed looser than befor and sound got louder kinda confirms my thought of bearing failure hopes this helps
this is not 100% diagnosis as can't listen to noise but fault may be bearing lip seal disintegrating which is a serious fault and if im right then bearing will shortly go as well. reason it is noisy during start is that seal is dry and gets wet when full of water
I thought that it just used the engine oil.. How do I check the gear box oil??
