I would check all the fuses first. If all the fuses check good then I would check the ignition to make sure it's getting power and is able to flow power through the switch out.

I have a 96 honda shadow ace. I had to clean the carbs all went well. I tried to start it but the battery was low. I charged it but the battery bike turned over slowly. I put some more water in the battery...

-The battery might not take and hold any charge at all. Take to auto zone to test for you.

Remember. Every car battery 's life is last only 5 years.

Good luck

Sat in gaurage this winter, went to start in spring, battery not strong enough to start, had lights and a little crank over, bought new battery now nothing not even lights, what u think?

Check to be certain the new battery is good. They can be bad from the factory with an internal short. Next check the fuses. Chances are there is a blown fuse.

I have a 04 gsxr600 and now it won't start. Dumb me I let the bike sit for winter and didn't disconnect the battery. Turn the key nothing lights start nothing so I pull the battery out charge it reads...

Sorry to say, your battery is dead. The reading you got was under no load conditions. Put a load of about 50 amps across it and the voltage will probably fall to just about nothing if even your lights are pulling it down to probably about 8 volts. Only one solution here - you have to replace the battery.

The engine light comes on, the speedo stops

Check the battery contact. Or check if the battery is good.
