Turn egnition on fuel leak - 2003 BMW K 1200 LT

If it is cranking, starter and egnition are fine, it could be fuel pump, If you can get someone to turn egnition ON, while you put your ear as close as you can to the fuel pump maybe the back seat or in the trunk, you should hear it humming, means its working,

Ford fuel pymps are notorious for the check valve in the fuel pump assembly to fail. The check valve keeps the fuel lines and fuel rail full of pressurized fuel. Borrow a fuel,pressure gauge. The pressure should stay up when you shut the,engine down. If it drops to 0 right away, replace the pump module

Most cat modles are located in the fuel tank.

if when turning sounds like loose wire or plug on egnition

A mechanic would check for voltage at the fuse, the EEC relay, and the fuel pump relay, then the pump.
If the pump is running and no fuel gets to the filter, the pump is faulty or the screen in the tank.

I've been told on my van that my fuel filter was to blame. I had a similar problem, sometimes the car would start and sometimes it wouldn't, and when I was driving I would be stepping on the gas and the car would slow down, then all of a sudden release and I would be going fine again, as if fuel wasn't getting to the engine.

If you car is a mid-1980's or newer it's fuel injected and pumping the pedal has no affect on it starting. A few causes are = clogged fuel filter, intermitent fuel pump activity [ pump, or relay ], faulty fuel pressure regulator, leak in system, etc. If you can hear the fuel pump run when you first turn on the igntion, then look for the filter or regulator problem. If there's a leak in the system then it may get air bound.

i have done this before an it worked so u could try it take a socket close to the size of the egnition an a hammer remove key fist an drive it home an then try key again if it doesnt work replace egnition if it does work dont remove key till u ready to replace egnition

first check the fuel level, even if not too low. If was sitting for long add some NEW fuel, add a lot. also try to just turn the egnition on a few times as fuel pump needs to deliver fuel prior to start.

maybe ur fuel pump needs replacing. if fuel pump goes out no gas to egnition. or your fuel pump relay might have blown chech owners manual or relays.
