Go to www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp You can download a free PDF repair manual there. Normally the manual will have a wiring diagram. Most of the manuals are in English but some are not. There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language. I checked and your manual is there.

The side stand kill switch is supposed to kill the engine any time the kickstand is down. This way there is no way you can take out with the stand down > Safety issue. The neutral light could be burned out. fuse burned, bad switch. The switch is located in the center of the front sprocket. There is a 15amp fuse that protects the oil, neutral, meter and tail lights > Is the fuse good?
Go to this site and you can download a free PDF service manual.
http://www.carlsalter.com/motorcycle-manuals.asp There is a service manual with a wiring diagram in the back. The manual is for a 2001 VT600 but only minor differences to the 2002 manual.
Top rating on this solution? Thanks :D
SOURCE: 1995 Honda Nighthawk 750 Neutral Light Problem
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Your decribed problem could either be a neutral switch about to fail (least likely) or a loose grounding issue (most likely). This switch must read 0 ohms to ground when in neutral and infinity (no reading) when in any gear.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
