I have a 2002 1100 classic,it worked perfectly when i parked it,I took it out the other day and now its not charging the battery. Where do i find the voltage regulator on this bike?
Its not the battery, as it is new and checked with a load test. I found regulator under the chrome cover below battery. Checked wiring to stator, found I was producing power across red & black wires (25 v ) Must be a bad regulator. Thanks.

More likely a battery gone bad than a voltage regulator. Be sure each battery cell has water covering the top of the plates. Get a volt ohmmeter and check the voltage when running at about 1800 rpm. It should be 14+ volts at the battery terminals. Follow the wiring to the flywheel. Are all the connections clean and tight? Is anything unplugged? Regulator is under the seat if I recall correctly.

hello,
Try removing battery and then re inserting. This can usually be done pretty simply by sliding lock to one side and the pulling battery out. This is under the laptop. Hope this helps
This means that the battery had shorted out and its already bad. You need to replace the battery. You can buy replacement battery for your ipod from ebay. its around $10-$15.
All the classic symptoms of a bad starter. A bad starter will work fine when cold but once it heats up, will require more power to work. Shame on the dealer for not recognizing this! A new battery with a full charge will work for a little while but if its the starter, I'm sure the problem will return Have your charging system checked out (most places will do this free of charge) Assuming the charging system checks out ok, I'd have the starter checked. I hope this solution provided you with the information you were looking for. Best of luck!

My 1992 Park Avenue had a timed relay that shorted out. This is the one that allows you to have the radio on etc. until you open the door. It shorted closed and discharged the battery. It took awhile for the shop to find the cure but once they replaced the relay all worked great.
I had the same problem. I had a 1 year warranty, so I called 1800-435-7732 and they sent me a new battery within 5 days. I just received it today and it works perfectly. Hope this helps you! =]
i used my camera yesterday and now today i turn the camera on to take pictures and the screen only shows the batter level and it's stuck on the last picture i took.......what do i do? i need to take pictures now!
Thank You :-)
