Fuel pump on old K100 not getting power at all

One possibility: If your new phone is paired but not connected because the K100 is looking for the old phone. When powering on the K100 it searches for the last connected cell phone. If the last connected phone is not within range, or the Bluetooth feature is turned off on the phone (which hopefully the first iPhone is turned off or at least out of range), then another phone within range that has been previously paired with the speakerphone can be connected by tapping the Multi-function button.

The early pumps were bad about being noisy , also check the rubber grommet that the pump fits into , they will turn to mush and clog /ruin the pump esp now that gas has some nasty additives in it. There is a Ford Mustang pump that will work as a replacement, check IBMWR tech page or parts subs for number.

without changing out your fuelline I would not reccomend to go for a higher pressure and flow.
About the fuelpump....sometimes going for the cheap option is in the longrun more expensive.

i have a 1985 k100rt and it would not start. i made some calls to bobs bmw in maryland and i unplugged electrical connector on gas tank ,sprayed it with electrical contact cleaner and coated it with dielectric gel. that fixed it. also check main grounding point on frame under gas tank.on a bike this old you need to make sure electrical connections are clean. the fuel pump is supposed to deliver fuel at 36 psi according to clymers repair manual. i hope this helped .
