Sounds like its changing the timing to a degree the 580 cannot handle.

Clutch wear (springs) or the belt needs replacing.

If your drive clutch is ingaging take a look at your chain. It may have broke.Common problem!

Open your chain case. Youll probably find your chain laying in the bottom.

The back fireing is common,but check the bushings in your drive clutch,when the inner goes bad,the clutch will not totally disingauge causing the sled to stall.
