SOURCE: how many teeth on the standard front and rear ccm 604e 2001
there is no real standard sizing, just keep in mind Smaller sprockets = higher top end speed but lower acceleration and Larger sprocket = low top speed but high acceleration so the size you want is totally dependant on what you require from the bike. eg. if you ride enduro then you probably want something in medium size range so to get decent acceleration but with a good top speed.

if you are realy lucky and the bike wasn't going to fast and who ever was riding it pulled in the clutch quickly.. then you might get away with just a top end
but no two ways about it the engine has to come apart.... to do it properly special tools and knowlede required you will need to find a shop

SOURCE: CCM 604e 2001..how to correctly adjust clutch cable, clutch drags
Turn the clutch adjustment bolt towards the clutch-lever surface all the way in-not too tight. Feel the lever pressure as crisp, engage the first gear, and see if the bike moves when you engage; stops when you dis-engage. Give the adjustment-bolt a couple outward turns, and see. Repeat procedure as necessary.
