Sounds like possibly an ignition switch problem. Replace or bypass the ignition switch and kill switch.

SOURCE: How do I know if my starter relay is bad on my 04 Gsxr 1000

Place a volt meter on to the starter side of the relay, It should show 12v or more when the button is pressed, The clicking can be low voltage, so make sure the battery is good and all cable connections are clean and tight. If you put the volt meter across the battery and it drops below 12-11.5 volts when you hit the start button it is probably the battery

Hi and welcome to the site,

Perhaps the wiring diagram would help tracing. Please click here. On the page that would open, click on the image to enlarge.

Good luck and thank you for asking.

SOURCE: headlights on 94 gsxr 750

Your motorcycle has a two position switch in the starter button. When you push the button in halfway the headlight turns off to give all the electricity to the starter. Push the button in all the way and the starter solenoid activates. You probably just need to clean or replace the starter button/switch. If the button will not work after cleaning, the button is usually only sold with the right switch assembly. You will have to replace the whole right switch assembly.

I have a 1990 Suzuki Gxsr 750 I turn the key on and lights come on when I try to hit the start button it does nothing rode to gas station and back morning n when I got off work later it did not start.

As I agree with the previous answer. I have found that if the bike in question sits outside in the rain a lot, the ignition switch on the handlebars seems to get corroded contacts on the inside causing a no start no crank situation.

2001 suzuki gsxr 600 ignition problems

Sounds like you have a short in the electrical system possibly around your fuze box. Best thing to do is to just pull off all your plastics and trace the electrical system, looking for exposed wires or damaged wires.

I've charged my battery, but my bike still won't start. Also, the security light is on, but I have my key fob in my pocket.

The usual reasons the fob doesn't disarm the security system is:
1) a damaged fob
2) discharged fob battery (Panasonic 2032 or equivalent)
3)electromagnetic interference
a. verify the fob in not in a metal enclosure or within 3" of any other electronic device.
b. place the fob on the seat, start motor and return fob to pocket.
c. move the bike at least 15' from the spot of interference.
With the Fob near the bike, try disabling the security system.

You'll need the PIN number.
If you don't know it, you'll have to change it to a 5 digit PIN number you select.

With the fob present, turn IGN switch:
IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION
Press LEFT turn signal switch 3 TIMES
Press RIGHT turn signal switch 1 TIME and release
Turn signals will flash 3 times. Current PIN will appear in odometer. The first digit will be flashing.

If changing PIN, enter first digit (a) of new PIN by pressing LEFT signal switch (a) time(s) i.e., for the number 1, press one time. for the number 5, press 5 times.

Press RIGHT signal switch 1 TIME and release.
the new digit (a) will replace the current in odometer window.

Enter second digit (b) with LEFT signal switch.

Repeat until PIN is set.

Once PIN is set (either new or old PIN), to disarm security system, DO NOT sit on seat, lift bike off kick stand, or anything else that will activate the security mode!

Turn IGN to IGNITION.

Quickly (within 2 seconds) hold BOTH turn signal switches until confirmation signal (KEY icon flashes at fast rate, in odometer window, a flashing "-" will be followed by 4 more dashes = "----")

Enter 1st digit (a) in PIN by pressing LEFT turn signal switch (a) times (i.e., 5 times for the number 5)
The 1st "-" will become the 1st digit (i.e., "5")

Press RIGHT switch signal 1 TIME.
The 1st digit is stored and the dash will flash.

Enter 2nd digit (b), and repeat sequence until done.

After the 5th digit is entered, the KEY icon stops blinking, and the system is disarmed.

The system will stay off until the IGN switch is turned off.

If at any time during disarming sequence an error is made, wait 2 minutes before trying again.

Lights on the bike flash and the bike will not start, can anyone help?

If you have a factory security system with the sensors located inside the key fobs you probably need to replace your fob battery.

F1 code on my 2006 suzuki gsxr. it just started an 2 hrs ago drove it home in 20 degree weather now f1 code and no start

When the red light comes on, eg (F1) use these fault codes to find your problem. To extract the codes from the computer system, there is a two pinned connector hanging out of the wiring harness, on the left hand rear of the bike, (say above the pillion foot peg under rear trim. Be sure not to confuse the other connector used by the Suzuki Workshop Mechanics, as this has four or five wires to the connector) After locating the one with only two wires at the back, use a split pin or paper clip to bridge the two wires togeather and turn the ignition to the ON position. You should now be able to read the code on the console. The fault codes are as follows,,
**** GSXR Fuel Injection (FI) Code List:*****
C14 - THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR
C15 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR C21 - INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
C22 - ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE SENSOR
C23 - TIPOVER SENSOR
C24 - IGNITION SIGNAL #1
C25 - IGNITION SIGNAL #2
C26 - IGNITION SIGNAL #3
C27 - IGNITION SIGNAL #4
C28 - SECONDARY THROTTLE VALVE ACTUATOR C29 - SECONDARY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR C30 - SECONDARY THROTTLE CONTROL UNIT
C31 - GEAR POSITION SENSOR
C32 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #1
C33 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #2
C34 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #3
C35 - INJECTOR SIGNAL #4
C41 - FUEL PUMP CONTROL SYSTEM
C42 - IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL
