    I have the same problem... I removed the seat and the battery cover...I really just want to charge the battery. The positive terminal is very accessible. Can I attach the positive charger cable to the positive battery terminal and the charger negative cable to any ground nut???

To charge the battery you can connect to the positive terminal on the battery or the large lug on the starter, then connect the ground to any clean bolt on the frame as the battery negitive goes to chassis

The seat must be removed first to for access.
Remove negative connection @ frame, and positve connection @ battery.
Remove the lower rear bolt (left side of battery box @ the frame upright)
Remove the upper rear bolt, and swing down the battery box
Remove top cover ,and side cover
Lift battery out and remove negative cable from battery.

The Dyna battery can be removed by:
1. Remove the seat.

just left of the battery is two bolts remove the bottom one and loosen the other to lower the battery remove cover and side cover pull battery out a little and remove the neg. cable first then you should be able to to the battery out a little more to get to the pos.

How to take starter out
Disconnect the battery, remove the outer primary cover. Remove the jackshaft bolt, lockwasher and seal. remove the battery box and battery. remove 2 starter bolts 1/4 allens, and remove the green wire terminal ( the 50 terminal ) .
