I just bought a triumph motorcycle,and the only ID number is on the motor!It is EE21554 TR6c

try trumoy dealers or clubs as they will have all the records
Also never ever put chassis or ID numbers on the internet as they can be used to rebirth stolen vehicles

Both are side by side twin cylinders. The bike was not hard to work on but it rattled and required chain adjustments and frequent maintenance on the crappy electrical (Lucas) system.
