My rev counter, speedo, fuel gauge and temp gauge

All the above come on randomly. when rev counter and speedo decide to work they stick and don`t come back to zero when i stop and turn engine off, also the speedo does not give an accurate reading as when i accelerate the speedo doesn`t move and rev counter stays on 3000 revs for example. temp gauge is also random and all the gauges developed faults at the same time

Peugeot fuel, rev, and speed dials not working

Those sorts of issues you can't fix yourself. Look locally for a good auto-electrician. You need someone with a $2,500 scan tool computer than can analyze the electrical system in real time as it happens and record it all.

Look at the Scotty Kilmer YouTube channel for the sort of data a scan tool can diagnose. He recently did a 2006 Lexus.

Since replacing the battery everything works fine except the speedo, Rev counter, fuel and temp gauges. All fuses in fuse box seems ok. ?

Hi Go to the Dealer and have them check it out. It maybe a simple and pushing a reset button. Or it could be something more complicated. Also check for code scan faults.#. Good luck

Instument pannel keeps going out speedo rev counter fuel gauge

The cluster is really a computer module, so what needs is first make sure the signal for this gages are reaching the cluster if they are then the cluster needs repair, if not you may have a defective fuel level sensor and a problem with the vehicle speed sensor. Flip a coin, the sensor issues will be the most costly as the fuel tank must come out for replacement of the level sensor, that runs many hours of labor.

Engine warning light , battery light, warning light , rev counter , speedo and temp gauge going on/off intermitantly and speedo not working on digital screen on ford focus can you help. the battery is new...

My 04 Ford Focus the battery light keeps coming on & going off, have fitted a new alternator belt but it didn't solve the problem. The battery connections are good. Also the rev counter, speedo & mileage clock keep going haywire when the battery light is on. Do you think it is the alternator? Or is it some other common problem?

Cbr 125 rw 7 instrument panel

Sounds like you have a ground fault. I once had a car with a faulty ground wire on the headlight, when I put high beam on the speedo would jump to 170km/h and the indicators would glow dimly. Sure sounds like a similar ground fault to me, check all the ground straps, from the headlight or anywhere else you can think of.

Rev counter, speedo & sometimes fuel & temp guage not working

pull the instrument cluster out and check the printed circuit and connector to it from harness, plug it in and out three or four times, this may cure the problem.

Speedo unit died then Fuel gauge went to max

the dash control board is the controler for the boards in the dash, fuel temp etc. inside the dash itself, a board on the rev counter controls voltage to feed the the fuel gauge etc. the back of the speedo burnt, there is the 3 pin voltage control chip on the board. you can replace the boards. you can remove them from another dash and place them into yours but if you say the board burnt out on the speedo . then i would just change the dash as it would be easier as you would need to replace the speedo as well. you will also need to inform dvla that the speedo has been changed as for mots its recorded. or have the speedo rectified to the right mileage. not informing dvla can affect your insurance.
