Fuel pump not working

My 1998 Buick Regal died wire idling. It turns over, has spark but no fuel.
I tested the fuel pump and it's OK, I also tested the fuel pump relay in the engine bay and it's fine. But there is no power going to the fuel pump. What is the most likely culprit?

Chk. to see if there is a fuse for the fuel pump in the fuse box.

When I start My 1998 buick regal ls 3.8 it idles rough and stalls most of the time, the rpm's go up and down as soon as I let go of the key. If I step on gas for a few seconds it stays running. Motor

did you clean any carbon from the air intake and air passages around the idle control motor. carbon buildup around fuel injectors or intake manifold can cause this problem also.

2001 buick regal gs cuts off at ramdom

Not enough information.
Possible causes are coil packs overheating, fuel pump problem, computer, or another wiring problem.
You need to determine if the vehicle is getting fuel and/or spark when it dies.

What would be the problem if my 1998 buick regal supercharge starts but dies

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.Check your fuel pressure it should be 48-55 psi with the key on and engine off.

My 1998 Buick Regal GS will not start. The battery is only one year old and the starter is turning. The wiring for the spark plugs was replaced 2 years ago. Is this a fuel pump problem? If so I would like...

If the motor is turning over, then the battery is good. You are either not getting spark or fuel.
If not spark, the crankshaft position sensor is usually faulty.
If no fuel, either fuel pump or fuel pump relay is bad, or clogged fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator is faulty. You have a fuel rail that has your injectors attached to it. It should have a test port on it that looks like a tire valve. You can put a rag on top of it,, press it in and there should be lots of fuel pressure, If not, either filter is clogged or pump is not running either due to bad fuse or relay or pump is bad.
For spark, there is a crankshaft position sensor that screws in engine block next to the crank. Then from here the wires go to ignition module and coil packs, then to plugs and wires. You can test any relay or sensor with an ohmmeter in the ohm position. You can test any power in an electrical unit with a voltmeter

How do i change the fuel pump for a 1991 buick regal and how can i tell if it is the fuel pump

turn the key on without starting the engine and listen for the fuel pump to make its 2 or 3 second fuel prime,, you may have to listen carefully, if you dont hear it, check the fuel pump fuse 10 amp red fuse. If its ok check for power at the connector leading to the top of the fuel tank, with it unplugged test with a test light the harness side of the connector between the grey wire and ground for power, the test light should light up when you do the fuel pump prime test again, light will come on for 2 to 5 seconds, if it does replace the fuel pump in the fuel tank >>note if you can hear the pump in the first test, pressure should be around 35 psi .

ENGINE IDLES ROUGH, BUT RUNS FINE WHILE DRIVING. My car is a 1995 Buick Regal Gran Sport with the 3800 series motor with 212000 miles. The rough idle tarted after driving through some muddy and wet roads

go the cheapest route. replace fuel filter and add SEAFOAM to tank of premiun fuel. replace filter before 500 miles. then add SEAFOAM to gas every 3000 miles to keep lines.engine, fuel pump, and emissions systems clean, ETHANOL problem number 3000

Buick Regal dying

You have a problem in the fuel pump relay circuit for sure then. I'm betting the relay, but it could be that dropping resistor.

89 Buick Regal

I'm not sure why you have a carborator on 89 regal, BUT if you haven't try replacing the spark plugs and wires you might want to try that if you have factory wire (the carbon composite wires it comes with are terrible). But that might help. If not maybe check and see if your fuel pump is working properly (ex. weak pump, bad fuel line, ect...)
