SOURCE: i have just brought a new cdi for my 50cc scooter

ISorry m8, no scooter expert but ive changed a couple of CDIs on Italian Scooters and they are a simple plug-in as on any size bike. They are usually found down near the battery, just unplug the old one and pop the new one in, there should be a retainer or something to stop it rattling round.
Sorry i can't be more use.

SOURCE: cant get my 50cc scooter to fire up-no spark. any

  • Do you see spark? If not, check the side stand kill switch. It kills the engine so that you don’t start out with the side stand down. If broken or out of adjustment, it would kill the spark. Check for a broken wire at the side stand switch and coupler. Try moving the side stand kill switch by hand. If that doesn’t work then wire a jumper around the switch to bypass it.
  • Is the handlebar kill switch on? Is it shorted out?
  • Check the fuses.
  • Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter. Check the wiring harness. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires?
  • Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and neutral switch wire on center or side casing.
  • If still no spark, get CDI system and coils checked at the dealers shop.

Longjia 50cc repair manual moped

I've not found a manual for specifically this model, but there's quite a good Haynes book; "Chinese Tiwanese & Korean Scooters" (4768) covers the similarities and differences between many of the the various GY6 based scooters on the market - all you need is a little commom sense to identify similarities and differences on your specific scooter.

Manual for longjia scotter

Longjia scooters are mostly generic; they use a "GY6" engine, which fall into two categories; Two and Four Stroke, 50cc and "larger" capacities. They are all horizontal single cylinder "forced air" engines.
They have a continuously variable belt-driven drive, with automatic clutch.
There are basic similarities between all models, and individual differences, possibly even within the same production runs, this will mean many parts may be interchangeable, but equally so, may not!
Switchgear is mostly the same, wiring harnesses are broadly similar, but wire colours may be arbitrarily applied - a bit of "common sense" is generally your best friend!
My particular example needs the brakes to be applied before the engine start will work, similarly, the sidestand has to be retracted, others may not. It has a rather confusing connector used for an engine immobiliser and alarm, but instead of being fitted, a special "bypass" connector was inserted!
The "Haynes" "Chinese Taiwanese & Korean Scooter" book (4768) is a good start if you want to do your own maintenance, but is very much "general purpose" and lists many but not all options at each stage.
In many ways the bike is very similar to the "Lexmoto Pulse", which might be a good starting point.
Hope that helps
