SOURCE: what to look for when buying a gsxr 600
stva controls secondary butterflys, nothing really major to worry about, until it dies. It has some bad solder points on it which work loose, and have to be re soldered. It is covered un a warrenty for up to 5 years, and 18,xxx miles or something i bellieve. Other wise no real major problems, just the normal wear and tear, and way previous owners have treated the bike

200° is quite warm...
If the engine wont turn over, probabily you have a bad battery, a bad starter or a bad starter relay, or bad connections.
A hot engine has more compression. If the full battery power doesn't reach the starter it won't turn over...

Recommendation is to sell it 'as is'. You may well spend the $325.00 on it and it still not run, requiring still more $. Tell the buyer what the mechanic said and knock that amount off the asking price.
While I trust what the mechanic says, I hear you loud and clear concerning the expense. Cut the expense at the $325.00 point and sell the motorcycle.
That, my friend is my suggestion.

could well be the battery has just gone flat starting the engine up and running it for a fuw minuets knocks more out the battery that you put in and batterys dont like cold weather any how if your going to leave the bike standing around not being driven go out and buy yourself a 12 volt 2.5watt solar charger hook this to the battery and it will keep the battery toped up even in dull weather,,,,i have them on my bikes all year round, cheap power!!!
SOURCE: I have a 2006 gsxr 600 that is fuel injection.The
try a can of Seafoam $10 @Autozone our in 1/3 to 2 gallons gas and drive for about 10 to 15 miles and see if that stuff will clean out the whole fuel injector and idle system get on it once in awhile to but be safe. Now if that doesnt do it, then look for loose hoses or vacuum leaks...just spray carb cleaner around the throttle body and injectors and if the idle increases you've found your leak. i hope this was at least helpful Thanks!
