Do you have a brake fluid accumulator(ABS)? If yes, the pistons/pulsing assembly are worn, and may need to be replaced.

If not, you may have a vacuum leak in the power booster (located on the firewall). Check all hose and clamps for a tight fit/cracks,etc. Vacuum leaks cause intermittent brake failure lights.

You may want to park the vehicle on a clean surface, pump the brakes a few times, and check for brake fluid leaks. If there is a leaking wheel cylinder (back brakes) , caliper (front brakes), or brake line, you will be able to see it.

Leaks cause pressure loss, and, thus, the brake warning light will illuminate.

Check behind your brakes where the electrical connector is and see if it is loose or damaged.

My Zusuki is a 2002 grand vitara.I just noticed a serious brake fluid leakeage from the rear (driver side) drum. What is exactly happening to the brake, what is the cause of this leakeage ? Thanks in...

Either your rear brake hose is leaking or your drum brake wheel cylinder is leaking. You will have to remove the wheel and drum to accurately find that leak.

Need to know what type of fluid for the clutch

it is a hydraulic system, much like your brakes. use regular brake fluid unless the owner's manual says otherwise. if the fluid keeps disappearing, you are most likely looking to replace the little master cylinder or the slave. keep an eye on ebay for replacement parts.

The parking brake light for my 2002 pontiac grand prix comes on and off at will. I applied the parking brake and release it stays on and the goes off and comes back on its confusing to me

Make sure you have the proper amount of break fluid in the resivor. the next time it comes on, pop the hood and unplug the connector that is going to the brake master cylinder, see if it goes out.
Report back if the light stays on. If it goes out then the fluid level sensor is bad. You can replace just the sensor, you do not need to replace the whole resivor.
