Removing starter motor

We've got a virago 535 and want to find out how to take off the starter motor. I've already taken off 2 bolts and can't get it off, is there any other screws or bolts

Hello.
those are the only fasteners that hold the starter into place. however. on the other side of the starter there is a sealing o-ring. after time this o-ring likes to hold the stater in its place. so with so very light prying the starter should slip out. hope this helps.

Welding '94 Virago 535 starter clutch

Any thing can be done, but. You would need a welder who knows their materials, types of metals. The biggest problem I can forsee is a distortin of the metal then you need a machine shop with a surface grinder to true it up again. I personally think it will be more trouble than it's worth

94 yamaha 535 virago sounds fine, just wont start

Check to make sure your getting gas by pulling off the hose, if no gas comes out your petcock is clogged. If this is the case blow air up into the hose, and if gas comes out now your tank has to be cleaned out.
