I have been looking online for information on how to wire aftermarket turn signals on my fathers 1992 softail. I noticed that with the stock wiring the front signals have two wires while the rears have a single wire, but the aftermarket signal sets have (2) with two wires and (2) with three wires.

hey, thanx anyway but i took the time and blew 4 fuses before i figured out the wiring . i had done it in the day, but not for the last 20+ years, and todays hogs are a little more harder, but not impossible, thanx anyway but i just can't see me paying u to help. i guess the day when a biker helped a biker and just took pride in his work, not money. well there's a surprise, maybe thats the way it is for most, but not i. hey i dare u to print this review,-and no problem cause i asked u to help, u didn't offer, oh ya u did 4 $$$$$$$$$$$$$- later G.K.B.S. p.s. don't cut all the prongs off and have just bare wireing, cause it's a hell of a lot harder, ha-ha

your wires are crossed/shorting somewhere, probably in the headlight. remove the light to get to all the wires. you should be able to see which colors go to which side, also look at the wires coming from the turn signals both front and rear lefts will be same color and the rights will be another color. you should be able to tell by looking inside the switch which side is which color and which one is the feed to the switch
