No spark. good coil voltage

Swap the caps around from the rear it the fault changes replace the cap, you can also test the cap with a multi meter it should read around 5k ohms or some of them may be 10K look on the cap..

Check for a short, or partially broken wire between CDI and coil. If your wiring is goodbetween there, check between CDI and pick up.

Why was the pick-up melted - are the problems related, perhaps, perhaps not. I think it likely to be a broken coil causing the misfire, but as laways check spark plugs, leads, fuel delivery, first before spending cash. Try and borrow a coil from another similar bike to see if it works, if not it is down to tracing the whole ignition system and checking every component for breaks, splits, bad contacts, etc

It sounds like your sensor in the timer cavity on the right side of the engine is bad. Disconnect the blue wire from the coil. Take a spark plug out of the engine, put it back in the spark plug wire, and lay it on the head. Turn the switch on and momentarily touch the blue wire to the coil. When you take the wire off of the coil, you should see a spark at the plug. The purpose of the sensor in the timer cavity is to stop the flow of current in the coil and initiate a spark.
Good Luck
