The best thing for yoy to do is to go to your Yamaha shop and have a conversation with the guy or gal who works at the parts desk. They will explain to you about the drain at the bottom of the entine, what size wrench to use, right or left hand threads, what kind of oil to use, what the oil actually does and where to put it in - usually through a fill port on the side cover on the right hand side. They will tell you about checking the level, how often and when to change. They will tell you what type of oil and why. Best of all, it will not cost you anything except to get there and return and a little time on your part. Oh yea, they also sell the oil you need right there.
Do you mix oil into the gas?? Is there a place to check the oil (a dip stick). Is there a special place to put 2 cycle oil for a self mixer?
If you don't mix the gas with oil and there is no special place to put 2 cycle oil, you have a 4 cycle engine.
If there is a place on the side to check the oil level, you have a 4 cycle engine.
Next question will be ... how do I check the transmission oil? If you have a 4 cycle engine, the engine oil is also the transmission oil ... rule of thumb.
You are showing a picture of a motorcycle and asking a question about a ATV, but not mentioning a model number. I don't think Yamaha is currently making a 2 stroke engine for their ATV's (there are several sizes - not including assorted models for sale around the world ... and I don't know where you are writing from (and please don't say).
Maybe the best thing for you to do is call the Yamaha dealer on Monday morning and tell them the model you have and ask the question 2 stroke or 4 stroke. There will be no more guessing on your part then.
The manual gives different grade for different temp . sorry if your in america these temps are in centigrade.
if it gets below 0 deg C use the thinner oil 10W30
5deg-40deg 15 or 20W40
If it gets to 50degC 20W50
just make sure it is motorcycle oil without friction modifiers or the clutch will slip
