Hi,
To remove the seat, you first will need to remove the (2) side covers. There is a slotted screw along the bottom edge towards the front of the cover. Turn that screw so the marks don't align. You can then pull the covers off being careful not to pull at an angle or you might bust off one or more of the posts.
Once the covers are off, look about midway of the seat under the strap, you will find a bolt on each side. Remove those 2 bolts and slide the seat back.
Hope this helps

Hi, I had a job doing this too! Take the side panels off . Then there are 2 bolts, from memory 12mm head,1 on each side under the seat edge about 6 to 10 inches from the rear of the seat. When these are out, pull the seat towards the tail light and it should come free, hope that helps, if not email me,
cheers derod

How do i access the fuel pump on a 2008 buick lacrosse

The fuel pump in your 2008 Buick LaCrosse is located inside the fuel tank. Here's how you can access it:

Under the Rear Seat:

If your LaCrosse has a rear seat, you can easily access the fuel pump by removing the rear seat cushion. Look for a cover or panel under the seat. The fuel pump is usually located there.
Through the Trunk:

If your LaCrosse has an armrest in the middle of the rear seat, you'll need to go through the trunk. Remove the cover from the far back, between the back of the rear seat and the trunk space. This will give you access to the fuel pump.
Remember to disconnect the battery and follow proper safety precautions before attempting any work on the fuel pump. If you need detailed step-by-step instructions, you can refer to resources like the Buick LaCrosse repair manual or watch online tutorials.

How do I replace the battery on a 2001 Suzuki Volusia Intruder?

To replace the battery:

1- remove the rear (passenger) seat by removing the single bolt behind it. Remove the seat by lifting it up and back

2- Remove the front (driver's) seat). Remove the two bolts behind it and remove the seat by lifting it up and back.

3- Removing the seats will give you access to the battery under the driver's seat.

4- Carefully remove the positive and negative battery cables from the battery, then lift the battery straight up.

5- Place the new battery in the bike

6- Replace the cables, red is positive (+), black is negative (-)

7- replace the seats, and you should be good to go!

How to remove seat to access the battery and carb. the throttle will not turn .is the bell/slide stuck? I just got this bike,7200 miles I think it has been in storage 2 to 3 years... Are there any...

Hi dogothedeser,

You did not state what model Suzuki you have. Some batteries are on the underneath of the bike; seats are usually bolted on and can be removed by removing the side covers and then removing the bolts holding the seat on. The fuel tank usually has to come off too. This is usually held on by a single bolt under the seat.

If you would please post a comment with the Model of your Suzuki, I may be able to assist you quickly.

Thank you.

Girlfriend's bike seat and post was stolen and I'm not sure of the seat post size for a replacement. I'd rather not have to bring the bike into a bike store to get measured. Does anyone know the seat...

hi, the seats are a standard size if you go into any bike shop and tell them its a girls mountain bike they will then give you the correct seat, or if you want it measured all you need to do is measure how big the hole is across so look at the hole and measure it across the middle and that will be the size, but if you just ask them for a standard sized mountain bke seat they will then give you the correct one.

let me know if you need further assistance

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

I need to know where and how do i remove the battery from my 2005 dyna low rider

The battery is under the seat on the right side of the bike. You must first remove the seat by removing the screw on the top of the rear fender that holds the seat in place...you can't miss the screw, it's a big chrome philips head screw. Once the screw is removed, lift the seat up slightly and gently pull towards the rear of the bike; this will release the front of the seat from it's retaining tab. Now that the seat is off, look at the right side of the bike, the chrome box there is the battery compartment. I believe the bolts connecting the battery are 10mm...you can undo them with a wrench and pull the battery out.

How do you remove the battery on a 2005 fxdwgi

I own a '94 FXDWG and as far as I know, they have not changed the way the battery goes in the newer models. Try this.

Remove the seat. There is a single bolt at the rear of the seat. Remove the bolt, lift the seat, pull to the rear. If you have the sissy bar on the bike, you may have to push the seat forward enough to clear the sissy bar, lift a bit more and then pull to the rear.

Look at the battery box on the right side of your bike. Just to the rear of the box there are two hex head bolts. Loosen but do not remove these two bolts.

Going back to the top of the frame where the seat was, look just behind the battery on the inside of the frame. You'll see a "jack screw". Turning this bolt counterclockwise lowers the battery. Turning it clockwise raises it.

Turn the bolt counterclockwise and lower the battery. This releases the pressure on the top cover of the battery allowing it's removal. Then you can remove the battery surround.

Disconnect the negative terminal first whenever removing a battery. Reconnect the negative terminal last when replacing the battery. This procedure will prevent arcing and damage to your bike. It may even prevent the battery from exploding. Discharged batteries contain hydrogen gas and a spark can cause an explosion.

I hope this helps and good luck. Ride Safe.

Removing er-6n seat

I assume the help you need is simply, that you can't remove the seat. They are a little awkward. But you need to insert the key, twist it, sadly it's spring loaded so you'll need to keep one hand on thae key. Then you need to push the seat back, quite hard, a good punch will do. Then simply lift it up and away from the front of the bike.

Hope that helps.

PS the spot to insert the key is on the stand side under the seat, bend down have a look.
