1995 Subaru Impreza WRX engine problem

Hi there,

My WRX has picked up a fault where it intermittently starts to fluctuate its electrical volts. The symptoms are most noticable when the headlights are on, they go from bright to dim, and when the engine is started you can hear a distinct whine (sounds like electrical interference), that moves in unison with the dimming of the lights. Also the car is not idling correctly, sounds like it is missing. And when driving if you accelerate quickly with high boost, the check engine light illuminates and the RPM becomes quite erractic, between 800- 2000 RPM. Any help greatly appreciated,

Thanks

Hi my 1995 impreza wrx keeps overheating and water is coming out of the overflow on the cylinder that you use to add the coolant what could be the problem

After a review of your question. We have concluded that you may have a failed head gasket, If you have overheated it the will now have a cracked head.

RECOMENDATION:

1. Seek professional help and contact your local repair shop.

2. Go to your parts store and pick up a can of block sealer follow the directions explicitly and you may just have a chance of calming down your engine.

Hope this tip guides you to a solution that can help you.

Subaru check engine light

Under the steering column there are two clips, clip them together and your subaru is in diagnostic mode, turn your reds on and you will get a series of flashes, count the slow flashes, thats your first number then count the fast flashes and thats your second number so * * * * ***** would be fault code 45. Find the fault and fix it then disconect your battery and turn your lights on to drain the power from and reset your computer. disconnect the clips and connect battery and the check engine light should be off.

Subaru impreza uk model wrx stalls and low idle, hesition

try adjusting the throttle cable, its a case of loosening a nut, pulling the cable through a bit more and then tightening it back up, you find it on the right hand side of the engine block close to the exhaust manifold.
