Question about 2005 Gilera Nexus 500

Gilera runner stolen, changed barrel/immobiliser, no spark

Hi, had friends gilera 125vx stolen, got it back but had wrenched ingintion barrel right off, replaced it with new barrel and immobiliser off old/spare bike but will not start, there's no spark at the spark plug! do i need to change cdi unit aswell?

There's a procedure to recode new keys, so the immobilizer let's you use the new key, if (and only if) you have the master key (red). Look at this PDF:

No u need to recode the cdi look on the internet for the recode seqence for the cdi u will need the chiped key to do so tho

Is the immobilizer communicating withe the key electonic ?or change cdi with immobilizer (whole set including the key) or borrow your friends cdi and the key to communicate each other(the wiring bypass to on it

The best solution is to purchase a new ignition and key. You can find them at very cheap prices on ebay.com and many other parts websites. Good luck!

Gilera runner 125 st 2008 cuts out by arcing

coil lead plug cap needs replacing , no shield to protect spark plug from getting wet due to weather/water splash. electrical spray lubricant requires from damp start problem

MY BIKE WAS STOLEN AND I RECIVED IT BAC WITH ONLY

if its a vx gilera u will need ur brown master key to start the bike up again,,if its a sp there should be a green and red circular part with a plug on it u need to connect this to the wiring loom also check that the petrol cable has not been cut where the carb is,this is common pratice for police when they find stolen bikes,to stop it being stolen again,if they dont recover it str8 away,

do u meen the code key you can swap chips over just put a needle through the tiny hole in the swing out chip holder u will no wot i meen my frend gd luck

How do u take off the whole key barrel from a gilera runner, i am changing my pannels and cannot get the whole thing off. any suggestions?

u can try to check properly at the key barrel holder which is a solid metal tube.there is a steel clips hape like rectangle u band shape.either at front or back at the metal tube holder.u hace to use a small torchlight to see it.it was hidden inside.u have to use a very small and thin yet strong flat screw driver or anything to peel or pull the pin out.but make sure u dont to major damage to the clip otherwise when u install the key barell back it wont hold your key barrel to the body back.

You definitely need to change all with a kit of : ECU, engine main switch, seat lock and you will get in the kit 3 new keys, 2 black and 1 red.The black ones need to be programmed from the red one at a dealer's workshop.Then store the red some place safe.

think most bikes time from the statas plate behind fly wheel , bikes ive worked on have a woodruf key and the flywheel slides on that to stop fly wheel spining on crank
