Try using some either (starting fluid) spray it in the airbox and see if the condition improves. if it does troubleshoot fuel delivery, start at the tank and make sure you are getting fuel to the carbs. if you are then chances are your carburetors need to be cleaned

The Scooter was only ridden for 63miles around neighborhood. Then sat for about six months now wont start was told gas could be old. What to do

Best bet would be to empty the fuel left in it then buy some fuel stabilizer and refill fill the tank with good gas also check the battery and fuses.

I have an 05 hyundai sonata its 4 cylinder car wants to start just wont turn over .the coil packs are not sparking ive replaced coil packs and the ignition fireing sensor. Still not sparking . what else...

there are sooooo many things that can cause a car not to start, it would probably be best to get a shop to diagnose/work on it unless you can give a better discription. sputtering, starter sounds like its not getting quite enough, any other symptoms would give us a better chance of helping.

The batteries on my truck are dead. It hasn't been started in 7 months. I am trying to get it running again.

the batteries may need replacing after standing for that period of time (depending how old they are ) you could try charging them to see if they will hold a charge, before you get that side of things sorted out you wont know if the engine will start or not,if it doesn't you will have to check other issues that may be a problem, fuel & filters, spark & spark plugs ........hope this helps......cheers.

Canadian bike 1991 Yamaha fj1200,50,000kms. engine sputtering at all speeds. Bike can be ridden (barely). No throtle response when cranked full from cruising speed. Fuel tank was drained & checked for...

Chances are there is a water build up in the carb float bowls. The water comes from condensation in the gas tank. Try draining the carbs. Another possibility is carburetor main jets partially plugged up. You must clean the carbs if plugged jets are found to be the problem. Please rate my answer. Thanks. tombones49_152.gif

It's been sitting for 4 years - It's in very good condition - barely ridden - I've replaced the battery, plugs, gas - cleaned the carberator - it turn over, but wont crank... suggestions?

Clean the air filter if you have not done it yet. Get a spray can of starting fluid and spray into the filter. You did check the plugs for spark didn't you? If no spark, check the sidestand kill switch as well as the handlebar kill switch.

Basicaly brand new cr25o mx bike wont start

Assuming you are using fresh gas. Check to see if gas is coming out of the line, if not blow back up into the tank and if that works there's dirt in the tank. Check the spark by removing the plug and kicking it over with the plug touching the engine, look for spark. If no spark, try a new plug, if still no spark, you have a stator problem. It wouldn't hurt to clean the air filter in any case. Good luck!
