have had the same problem many times. spray carb cleaner into hole where the brass plunger is located give it a little time to let the cleaner work. put some force on the cable it may come out if not remove the cable at the other end so you can remove carb to work on it

SOURCE: pulled the pin bolt instead of drain plug

Sorry. I'm very certain you can't fix your problem without splitting the case. I would be cautious about running the motor at all. When you removed that bolt those pieces are free to fall down to the bottom of the case to interfere and do damage. Good Luck.

you probly drained the primary case oil, which house the primary drive chain and clutch. The main oil is in the oil tank, there should be a drain bolt on the bottom of the tank

83 yz 125 was shifting okay. Drained oil, replaced with new clutch oil. Shifts into first, won't shift into other gears at all.

Hi Arron by any chance did you loose a spring and a ball bearing or plunger when you opened the sump plug??? Some bikes have one drain plug some have what looks like a drain plug but with a plunger to hold the selector drum in neutral. Check the container you drained your oil into you might get lucky. hi Phil, The drain plug will always be at the lowest point on the bottom of the oil sump. can't send you a picture but I'm sure you can find it. you'll probably need to remove the plastic covers underneeath. Regards JohnJohn

I need step-by-step directions or changing oil and filter on 2001 Kawasaki 1500 Nomad

1. locate drain plug (bottom of engine) mines a 17mm
2. remove drain plug
3. locate and remove oil filter (rear of engine)
4. after draining reinstall filter (wipe lite film of oil on rubber seal) HAND TIGHTEN ONLY
5. reinstall drain plug
6. fill with oil (usaully around 1 gallon) check your book or just use sight glass

How do i change the oil

you need to remove 2 undershield covers. one is metal held on by 4 12mm bolts, the other plastic by 5 12mm bolts. oil filter is front of engine slightly towards drivers side, and drain plug is a 17mm. 4.5qts of 5w30

How do I get to the oil drain plug on a 2000 Ford E150

Under engine you will locate the OIL pan which is solid metal and you will notice Under OIL pan is a 17MM Bolt
Remove that to drain oil
Oil drain may take up to 45 Mins to fully drain

I can't locate the oil drain plug on a 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Help Anyone??

Place container under oil drain plug under the engine oil pan, remove drain plug using 17mm socket or wrench.

underneath the engine at the lowest point there is a bolt about 17mm undo drain oil then put 17mm plug in fill the new filter with new oil before screwing back on and place oil around rubber ring on new filter so it seals properly fill with oil to low point on dipstick start car check oil filter for leaks turn car off let oil settle and check level again too much oil in a motor will cause problems so dont over fill hope this helps glenn...........
