The 99 Suzuki Katana does not use transmission fluid, the engine oil, 10w-40 4 stroke motorcycle oil, is the engine and transmission lubricant, that's why it's called a wet clutch on bikes. It goes all in the same hole right above the rear brake. It gets sumped around the oil cooler (looks like radiator, but cools the oil not water) then it comes around and continues to cycle through engine, gear housing etc.

This is complicated.... Ok, your right, no dip stick is there! This is how it works.
Underneath the car, there is a plug (11mm) on the transmission case on the passenger side. It is about 3" up from the pan edge and on the front side of the case. With the engine running in PARK, remove this plug. If trans fuild doesn't run out of the hole, the level is low. Pour it in the hole on top (where the red cap is) until the fluid runs out - all while the car is running. Once it is roughly dribbling out, the trans is considered full. replace plug. Your done!!
Easy ehh? Dexron III fluid

you need a haynes manual.because some new cars dont have dip stick to check tranny fluid.you have to locate a check fill plug on automatic transmission differential.its located on the right side.front of drive axle.for volkswagon you got buy the tool to squirt fluid in tranny.still get a manual it will show you place to put tranny oil.

To change the fluid in the transfer case you must go under neath the vehicle ,on the side of the transfer case you will see a nut on the side ...that's is where you fill it ...on the bottom or some times on the side you will see another nut to empty it ...I recommend putting transfer case oil synthetic ....if you ever go through a lot of water while 4 wheeling,i recommend changing the fluid in your transfer case as soon as you can ...also check your rear end to see if there is water in it....to resovle problem ...add a longer hose ,so it will not take on any water ,hope this was help full
