How to replace a starter clutch kit on a 2008 FLHTCU

sounds like a problem with the ignition switch. Does anything get power when you turn the key on? Headlights? Did you change the bars before or after the problem started? Is the handlebar harness plugged in correctly?

By "stator", I'll assume you mean the alternator, specifically the wires coming from it's stator coils that go through the crankcase, to the regulator.

The stator plug is at the front of the engine crankcase.
The starter is above the transmission.

There's a crankcase in between them, so no, you don't have to remove starter to do anything with the alternator.

This is a major job. This is the bad thing about a belt type final drive. You must remove the entire primay, outer primary cover, clutch and primary chain, starter, and inner primary. You must also remove the rear wheel and the swing arm to replace the belt. That's why the job is so expensive plus the belt itself ain't cheap. If I can help you further, let me know.

if the clutch burned out it must have been slipping causing lots of heat inside were the starter is, all this extra heat wont do the starter any good at all, if its still under warrantee get it back as its clearly not right,, not at all like bmw?
