I have a 2005 Husqvarna TE 510, and I recently removed the waterpump to check out a leak, not knowing that pulling out the waterpump, messes with your cam timing. The timing sprocket pulled out of the cam sprockets and I lost the timing. Trying to get help on how to go about correcting that problem.
Also, how do I go about finding Top Dead Center?
It hase a litle sign at ignition at the electrics if you cant find it remove the spark plug and put carefully a screwdriver. top dead center is upper place that the piston can be..for the timing every camhas a sign in the gear that maches with a sign at the waterpump gear wen it is at the center.sorry for the ad english if i didnt help and you dont have already a solution send an email so i can send you photos.

2000 husky left hand kick start same problem, timing change guides worn and the chain has slipped on the cam sprocket. This resulted in the valves hitting the piston. I will have to change cam chain, guides, valves and reset the timing but how. there is no reference points?? does anybody know how to set up the timing and also the torques settings for the head. Is there a haymers type manual for this bike??
any help would be appreciated
