SOURCE: My 4 wheeler is leaking gas when the fuel is on
>>> Please leave feedback so I can continue helping You & Others
Hi,
the main jet float level needs adjusting, and the needle valve may need replacing. Carefully unscrew the base fron the carby (after turning fuel tap off), then check that the float moves freely up and down, while holding it up turn the fuel back on, and see if the needle valve is stopping the fuel. Slowly lower it to the level position, fuel should come out then. Give the carby a good clean, DON'T use wire, JUST SOLVENT AND AIR.
Thanks,
Adam.

most of the atv plugs are gapped at the factory. .024 to .028
SOURCE: gas leaking from hose that is under tank that is not for gas flow
is it an overflow from the carb? gas will only be in one of 2 tubes and they are the fuel line from the tank and the carb over flow. unless you have an electronic fuel pump then tubes go from tank to pump to carb. if its coming from the overflow then you are getting too much fuel into the carb float chamber. you may have a sticky float. thy getting some Berrymans B12 fuel additive and putting double the doseage in the tank. run engine til hot then leave it to stand overnight. this should break down any gum/varnish that has built up in the system
has this been in storage thru winter?
SOURCE: drain gas tank?
Easiest way is to remove the tank and dump it into a fuel can. (Petcock off, dump it from the gas cap)
Also, to drain the carburator, remove the "plug" at the bottom of the bowl.
SOURCE: How do you tighten the chain on a 84 200 s three
Where the frame and the axle join you can see 4 large bolts on the in side(2 on top and 2 on bottom) (The bolts will be across from each other and all the same size) Loosen them up a couple of turns. Looking at the axle from the rear you can see on the bottom left side a long threaded rod pointing at you with a nut on it. If you tighten this nut, it will tighten the chain. Make sure you tighten the 4 bolts back up after you done
