Sounds like your getting to much fuel in the bottom of the carbie should be a float which controls the amount try bending it slightly so that it shuts off quicker

SOURCE: My 4 wheeler is leaking gas when the fuel is on

>>> Please leave feedback so I can continue helping You & Others
Hi,

the main jet float level needs adjusting, and the needle valve may need replacing. Carefully unscrew the base fron the carby (after turning fuel tap off), then check that the float moves freely up and down, while holding it up turn the fuel back on, and see if the needle valve is stopping the fuel. Slowly lower it to the level position, fuel should come out then. Give the carby a good clean, DON'T use wire, JUST SOLVENT AND AIR.

Thanks,

Adam.

SOURCE: gas leaking from hose that is under tank that is not for gas flow

is it an overflow from the carb? gas will only be in one of 2 tubes and they are the fuel line from the tank and the carb over flow. unless you have an electronic fuel pump then tubes go from tank to pump to carb. if its coming from the overflow then you are getting too much fuel into the carb float chamber. you may have a sticky float. thy getting some Berrymans B12 fuel additive and putting double the doseage in the tank. run engine til hot then leave it to stand overnight. this should break down any gum/varnish that has built up in the system

has this been in storage thru winter?

SOURCE: drain gas tank?

Easiest way is to remove the tank and dump it into a fuel can. (Petcock off, dump it from the gas cap)
Also, to drain the carburator, remove the "plug" at the bottom of the bowl.

SOURCE: How do you tighten the chain on a 84 200 s three

Where the frame and the axle join you can see 4 large bolts on the in side(2 on top and 2 on bottom) (The bolts will be across from each other and all the same size) Loosen them up a couple of turns. Looking at the axle from the rear you can see on the bottom left side a long threaded rod pointing at you with a nut on it. If you tighten this nut, it will tighten the chain. Make sure you tighten the 4 bolts back up after you done

I have a 2003 honda cr 250r 2 stroke,It will not kickstart, you can bump start it and it starts right up and runs really good.when you try and kick it it leaks gas out of the carborator.

Usually, a leaking carb is because either the float is set too high, or there is some crud stuck between the float's needle valve and it's seat.
Either one will not allow the float/needle valve to shut off the flow of gas when the float bowl get's full.

This should be your carb:

The floats are the 2 large square items on #5 on the illustration.
Item #3 is the float needle valve.
Item #4 is the needle valve's seat.

Fuel not flowing to carb.

Check you petcock for correct operation and make sure its not clogged. If its a vacuume actuated petcock, make sure the hose is attached well and not leaking. If all is well with those 2 things then try seeing if gas will flow when you remove the gas cap. If that fixes the problem, then the vent holes on your gas cap are clogged up.

Repairing Gas line filler tube

Simple, don't try to put gas in it. Actually you could get a siphon hose in past the filler tube and past the leak, putting gas in that way. Temporary? If at all possible to get a roll of tape around it where it's situated, I might try duct taping the **** out of it. I wouldn't waste my good Gorilla Tape on it, though. It won't really seal anything, might just stem the flow a little.
If it is cracked on one side, you could loosen the hose clamps, and see if you could turn the hose where the leak is on the upper side. That way it won't leak as much. I've dealt with this before. Nothing really works! Just wait for the new hose, preferably sooner. Keep your tank low with gas (1/4 full) and you be fine.

How can i tell if the gas cap is giving me problems. The bike will not start as if there was no gas getting to the carb. just had the carb cleaned out and that didnt seem to fix the problem. Thinking it...

Simple-open the gas cap and try to start it. I have had the gas cap vent fail in Honda street bikes and prevented fuel flow. Also, I believe this bike has a vacuum operated shut off valve. Though they normally don't fail, if the vacuum line connected to it is leaking it won't open. You may have accidently misrouted the hoses during carb removal. The valve will be inline before the carbs if it has one.

I need to know how to wire and open circuit teather kill switch on my 85 250r 3 wheeler

The kill switch is operating on the same principal as a light switch in a house. It merely closes or opens the circuit. Shouldn't take you long.
