I have a 2002 VStar classic 650 problem with high speed vibration

I would guess that the tires need balancing. There is a product you can buy that is a bunch of little BB's you put in the tire that will balance it. I have not used it so I would recommend taking your bike to a tire shop and have them balace it for you.

What is the best pressure to have

IN all honesty, it depends upon the type of ride that you want and the "TIRE" manufacturer's recommendations. Note that I didn't say bike manufacturer. The tire usually has the recommended pressure listed on the sidewall of the tire in fine print.

A service manual is a valuable tool with an aging bike. I suggest the dealer/mfr. or Clymer books. In the meantime, go to the library reference section...646 stacks should have what you need.
