My speedometer doesnt work and digital clock doesn,t come on

Pretty much all car speedometers built since the mid 1980's are electric. Do you mean that your vehicle is equipped with a DIGITAL speedometer?

If so, when you say it doesn't work, do you mean it does not light up at all? or do you mean that it lights up and just says "0" all the time?

1997 Honda accord nothing on instrument cluster works,only the battery light. Power windows will not work. shift lock solenoid doesn't work.Digital clock does not work. Lights on the console shifter don't light up. Help!

I had the same problem with ABS light and speedometer, I was told that it is the transmission control module. It has not yet stopped shifting but I have had times where it just wont stay running. It will start and then stall. Hope this helps.

Replace the speed sensor on the transmission. This controls the speedometer.
