I detected gas leak in my GE JGP336. At first, one of the burner leaks even its control knobs is in off position (I can ignite that burner with a match without switch control knob to on position). I felt that the control knob is hard to turn, so I removed the control knob and cleaned the dirt underneath the knob. After that, the burner no longer leak. However, now that control knob has gas leak. I can detected the gas leak but don't know what can I do. The leak is from place beneath the plastic part. I need to seal it or replace it. How do I fix this?

replace your spark module
have you spilled liquid on the cooktop recently?
if yes let it dry for a couple of days and see what happens.
sometimes when you spill liquid on the cooktop it grounds out the spark module and it will continue to spark until it drys.
let me know if you need more help

you have moisture buildup in the switch,
you can blow dry it to dry it out.
or the contacts in the switch or switches are connected together.
or grease build up.
you have to open , take apart the cooktop to test to figure out which switches are bad., you can do this by unplugging each switch and testing it.
be causes.
once you figure out the bad switch or switches, you can order new parts, or drill open old switch to clean out and fix the switch for re use.
basically,
1, clean mositure
2. clean contact points
3. test to see if the switch works, by turning the wheel and check contact points.
4. crazy glue back.
5. put back and use.
