My 2009 vrsc H-D will not start, all the gauges come to life my security system is on and blinks about 15 times, I charged my battery, put a new battery in my fob, nothing not even a click, could it b

I keep my v-rod muscle in the garage on a battery tender, I went to start it, and nothing happened, the security key lights up and the blinkers blink about 15 times before stopping, I get all the gauges, lit up, the horn, lights everything works. I carged my battery, and changed the battery in my fob, i get nothing, i bought it used and was not provided a pin for the security system. My instinct is leaning toward a problem with the security, I even put a new fuse in. My other thought is a bad solenoid

Turn the battery the other way in the key fob...sounds like you have put it in upside down

SOURCE: harley davidson 1200 custom doesnt start and security light on the speedo blinks. i had earlier clicked on the remote. it is sportster 1200 custom-2005.

hold key fob until signals flash, check speedo for solid key light, then try...if it still does the same thing, battery could be too low(will cause this also)

Your alarm is on. If it's a HD alarm one long click turns it on and 2 short clicks turn it off.

SOURCE: Harley won't start.

A harley AGM battery are usaully good for three to five years the best thing to do is have the battery load tested. Now as far as your problem now depending on the batterys state of charge the solenoid will click or not.Because you store it alot you should keep a trickle charger on the battery

Testimonial: "Thanks for the advice, gives me a direction to pursue. Will have battery tested and hopefully that is all it is."

SOURCE: 883 sportster with no electrical power

Sounds to me like you've got a security system problem. It's strange that you have power to the switch and fuses and then it stops. You do have power to the fuses don't you. You said you had continuity but you didn't say you had power. I've looked at the latest schmatic that I've got (1999-on) and I don't see anything that would stop everything from working on your bike. Now, Harley may have changed something and my schematic doesn't show it but I would think you would have something showing that the security system had everything locked out. Sorry I couldn't help.

Good Luck
Steve

2009 Chevy Aveo. All my gauges stop working after changing the battery?

Did it start after you changed the battery? Normally you need to reset the security system and immobilizer.

Not having gauges seems to be a known issue,

Resetting the Passlock system should fix it. If it doesn't you need an auto electrician or an auto locksmith.

The security light is on in my 2001 chevy venture message center

Hi there,
Most commonly with these cars the security system will do this if the battery is "drained" while trying to start the car. ie: a low battery that is too weak to turn the engine over. Usualy the power options & accesories will not work if this is happening.
To fix it you will need to ensure the battery is charged, you then disconnect the battery negative cable for about 1 minute with the key out of the ignition. reconnect the battery cable & start the car normally. Everything should be back to normal.
Let me know if there is anything more you need for this concern.

06 f150 if lights left on for under 10 min truck needs jump

your first three words...battery checks ok....??? See why its difficult to do this from my end?
Anyhow, here are a few suggestions to keep new battery OK.
If you like to sit in parking lots (or other places) with the radio on, put a small battery charger on your battery every month or so to bring it back to fully charged.
If you run the battery down by leaving anything on (key, dome light headlamps, and need a jump to start, charge the battery with charger also, as soon as you can. Reason is, your alternator is not designed to charge a battery. It's purpose is to maintain the state of charge in the battery. Though it may seem OK after a jump and drive, it will never again have a deep charge unless you put it there with a charger.
This also overworks the alternator.
So aside from keeping it clean on the outside, if you follow this rule it will be happy on the inside and give you even longer than its expected service life in return. Good luck with your car!!
