Question about 2000 Harley Davidson FXST Softail Standard
My running lights were working yesterday. Today 3 of them do not. The only one that works is the front right. All of the turn signals work, as do the headlight and tail/brake lights. It also has highway lights installed on the crash bars. They also work fine. 2000 softail standard. Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you.
SOURCE: lights, turn signals, horn don't work
Look for a bad ground connection inside the headlight shell (or possibly elsewhere). The other thing that all of the items you mention that are working intermittently have in common is the ignition switch. With the switch 'on', check for battery voltage at the fuses for the headlight, turn signals, horn, etc. No voltage at the fuses likely means a bad ignition switch.

The light unit has to be grounded. When you rewired did you forget to reattach the ground wire?Turn the lights on and hit the brake, what does the tail light do? If it goes dim or off you have a bad ground. It worked before the new rear light, right?Check for compromised ground.

Bulb fixed the front left. The rear running lights however are still not working right. Still have turn signals, just no running lights on both rear.
I have the same problem on my 2012 XT250
