Question about 2001 Yamaha V Star Classic

No spark from coils

I have a 2001 yamaha v star 650. It ran fine the night before and next morning nothing, i checked the ign switch,kick stand, fuses and all are fine

I HAVE A 2006 V STAR 650 CLASSIC WITH A STARTING PROBLEM, COIL PACKS HAVE BEEN CHECKED OK, CDI IGNITION MODULE HAS BEEN REPLACED AND STILL NO FIRE TO PLUGS, KILL SWITCH ON HANDLE BARS BEEN REPLACED TOO, STARTER WILL TURN ENGINE BUT NO FIRE AT ALL

I got a 2000 Yamaha v-star 1100 not firing change pickup and stator assembly still no ground Goin to coils u rub a ground on the ground side of the coil it fires

These issues revolve around the Simplest items ( 8I recall chap had pulled Mach 3 apart , only to have His intended Father in LAW SAY >"WHY'S THIS SWITCH?-OFF?--He HAD BUMPED THE kILL SWITCH AS HE DISMOUNTED!---With that in mind "DISCONNECT , TEMPORARILY THE WIRE FROM THE KILL SWITCH & TRY!--Also, remove coils & Shine Evert Earthing Points, Throughout The Motorcycle., Then carry out Impedence Test Of Coils & DON'T forget the HT Caps , they can produce same woes!!--Remember to "Re Connect Kill switch Wire!--( SDometimes Ignition Swithes Faill Too!--Fact remains>Electronics are like box of matches, not all will light when struck with same force!--Stay Upright, Des.

2006 Yamaha 650 V star wont start

what is your battery voltage? check for loose batter terminals and ground cables. Charge the battery if its low and then see if it will start. once its running test the voltage again. It should put out 13.5-15 volts just off idle. if it doesnt, something is wrong with your charging system.

There will be no power to the start button I expect. The ignition switch supplies more than just the pump.
Run a wire to the solenoid but you will need ignition voltage as well.

I have a 82 xj550 motor i put in quad ran fine all of a sudden i lost spark i changed coils put new plugs in still nothing turns over fine just no spark

2001 Yamaha V star 650 will start, run for a second then dies. It seems to be getting fuel and the spark is strong. I have tried Sea foam and Berryman's Chem tool. What do I look at next?

I ran into a problem like that before and it could be the computer, they do that when it works intermittently. The part is priced up there so go over every thing else it could be first

I have a 07 Honda vt100 shadow spirit... Ran fine yesterday I parked it for about 3 hours.. When I went to start the bike later I pushed starter switch and NOTHING not even a sound.. Lights blinkers horn...

you may want to check the safty switch on the kick stand. if it is falty then it would not let the bike start. it would let everything else work though. make sure it is in neutral

Bike was dead - I installed new battery and no change.

check wireing to starter and fuses then service inspection needed .

When I hit the electric start i get nothing, bike ran fine till i out on different handle bars, wonder if the kill switch got tangels and now isnt working 03 vstar 650

Check for damaged wires on your wire routing.
