I have a 2001 yamaha v star 650. It ran fine the night before and next morning nothing, i checked the ign switch,kick stand, fuses and all are fine
I HAVE A 2006 V STAR 650 CLASSIC WITH A STARTING PROBLEM, COIL PACKS HAVE BEEN CHECKED OK, CDI IGNITION MODULE HAS BEEN REPLACED AND STILL NO FIRE TO PLUGS, KILL SWITCH ON HANDLE BARS BEEN REPLACED TOO, STARTER WILL TURN ENGINE BUT NO FIRE AT ALL

I got a 2000 Yamaha v-star 1100 not firing change pickup and stator assembly still no ground Goin to coils u rub a ground on the ground side of the coil it fires

These issues revolve around the Simplest items ( 8I recall chap had pulled Mach 3 apart , only to have His intended Father in LAW SAY >"WHY'S THIS SWITCH?-OFF?--He HAD BUMPED THE kILL SWITCH AS HE DISMOUNTED!---With that in mind "DISCONNECT , TEMPORARILY THE WIRE FROM THE KILL SWITCH & TRY!--Also, remove coils & Shine Evert Earthing Points, Throughout The Motorcycle., Then carry out Impedence Test Of Coils & DON'T forget the HT Caps , they can produce same woes!!--Remember to "Re Connect Kill switch Wire!--( SDometimes Ignition Swithes Faill Too!--Fact remains>Electronics are like box of matches, not all will light when struck with same force!--Stay Upright, Des.
