The cigarette lighter does not work? - 2011 Harley Davidson FLHX Street Glide

door locks and cig lighter ARE NOT on same circuit. Maybe lighter is broken and blowing fuse.

cigarette lighter sockets only work with the ignition in accessories or run position
check for fuse blown

the cigarette lighter fuse is usually the radio,clock ,instrument panel illumination fuse as well .If these other items are working ok i'd have to say the cigarrette lighter heat element is burned out or there is a loose /disconnected wire to the cigarette lighter socket

check the fuse box inside the truck and under the hood 1 should be marked for cigarette lighter or Power Point or accessory if you did not out you need to pull the cigarette lighter from the dash so you can get to the wires in the back of the lighter and then test the wires with a test light to see if it's getting power probably just a piece that's what generally goes wrong

blown fuse i would say if you havnt burnt out cig lighter unit

The lighter socket or the element.
Check the element for burn marks and the socket for debris blocking the contacts.

You should replace both your battery and cigarette lighter.

You had better recheck that fuse again with an Ohm meter..

either the push in part of the lighter is bad a fuse has blown or the actual socket has burned out. check the fuse first if it is good then get behind the lighter and check to see if there is power to the lighter. if there is then replace the lighter assembly while your there. hope this helps

it is fuse # 1 in the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side it is a blue 15 amp fuse
