Computer reads multiple misfires rough idle trouble starting

When the engine is cold the car starts fine, but if it is warm you have to try a few times and then it has a hard time "catching", idle is rough even if rpms increase, tends to idle at about 500 on its own (i have tried putting my foot on the gas to raise the rpms but this does not seem to help)

The air fuel mixture sensor is probably starting to fail. You need to have a simple diagnosis done at the shop and then have it replaced - they are usually not much a reputable mechanical shops. When the motor warms up your air/fuel mixture changes hence the rough idle etc. Hope this helps.

What is settin the po300 random multiple misfire/?

you have a bed coil (s). That's what causes misfire. Your DIC should be specific about which cylinder coil you're having trouble with.

My ford windstar 2003 hesitates during cold weather or wet conditions. But good during idle. Some time shows blinking engine light.

The flashing and rough running is to to a misfire or misfires cause by arcing due to moisture on ignition components. Eventually these misfires can lead to other problems such as damage catalytic converter. Start by identifying which cylinder(s) is/are misfiring. The arching can be reproduced with a spray bottle filled with soapy water. Spray the ignition components (wires, coils, distributor cap...)and look for the vehicle to idle rough. Replace any faulty component.

Well...my ball park guess on this is just a tune up. The engine light is usually showing a misfire. If the plugs are bad then the cylinder is not igniting the fuel and it is flooding out. With what is here this makes sense to me. Let me know what it does turn out to be.

2003 cavalier rough idle

Is the check engine light on? If it is check to see if a local parts store offers free code reading. If its a misfire code it should be po001 through 004. This is telling you cylinder 1 is 001 ect. Then you can change the parts on the correct cylinder.

Car only start with cold engine

This can actually be several things but most common is the coolant temp sensor, it tells the computer how much fuel to give the engine depending on temp, if the sensor goes bad then it may be giving engine too much fuel when it's warm, which may be why it starts fine cold cause it needs more fuel to start cold, try holding the gas pedal to the floor when u start it warm, if it does start and run rough for a few seconds it's cause it was flooded due to excessive fuel.. Get scanned for any trouble codes..

I have a 92 yj 2.5l 5 speed. it has only after warming up a misfire/rough idle. its fine when its cold and once it warms up and idle comes down it misfires/idles really rough. may be lacking power also. i...

check that the EGR valve is not sticking or has a vacuum leak. This valve will not operate until the engine is warm.

check also the engine coolant temp sensor (ECT). This sensor tells the engine computer that the engine has warmed up, so if it is faulty, it could be sending wrong information to the computer. If the sensor is disconnected, wires to it broken, or faulty in full cold mode, it will tell the computer that the engine is very cold, like -40F. The computer will schedule fuel for cold conditions. This is usually way too much fuel for a warm engine and it will rich misfire, idle rough, and be difficult to start warm.

The ECT has two wires going to it and is dedicated to sending information to the engine computer. It has nothing to do with your dash gauge that shows coolant temp. That sender has only one wire and is dedicated to the coolant temp gauge.

I am haveing trouble with my 1996 Mazda B2300, When I start my truck after its been sitting for any length of timeI have to rev the engine to get it started, I have to continue reving until engine is warm...

Replace the temperature sending unit/sensor. This sensor tells the computer to put the engine into cold start mode and it then sets idle a bit higher and puts a bit more fuel into the engine to keep it running without having to touch the throttle. Once it's warm, sensor tells computer to go to normal run mode and it's done. No problem.

Temp guage barely moves and runs rough just off idle

Try a full tune up.. get Bosch platnium+4 spark plugs and Acel wires, do the fuel filter and air filter(i suggest K&N) buy some fuel injector cleaner or use Marvel Mystery oil. The ECU could e gone but hard to diagnose if the car needs a tune up.
