Clunking noise when spinning, seems to be between inner s/s tube and outer plastic casing.

I think it's the brake pads. Check them. I had a bolt unscrewed once. Drove around on one for two days.

SOURCE: Hi, my GE model DBXR463ED1WW dryer is LOUD!

Roaring could be an over firing burner or fan related. Squeak or rumbles are bearings. Is the noise all the time or only when the burner is on? Eric

SOURCE: scratching noise coming from dryer

yes the felt is cushion and it sounds like it might be the blower fan sometimes they get off balance or just simply out off wack and the blades will rub on the housing

Have a front loading washing machine, it is making a horrible noise when it turns

Either something has gotten between the inner and outer drums or the inner drum support bearing has gone bad. Almost complete tear-down to fix it. Lift up and down on the inner drum (when machine is off) to see if it seems somewhat loose and makes a clunking sound when you do so. If it does, that indicates a failed shaft bearing.

GE Prodigy Washing machine making clunking noise

One common problem area is the clutch assembly. The clutch is built on top of the motor, the motor drives the clutch and the clutch assembly drives the rest of the washer. The clutch gets very noisy when parts inside are worn out. The shoes lining that drives the inner drum of the clutch wear off and you will get a metal on metal sound. Clutches often can be rebuilt, but sometimes they are too worn and replacing the whole clutch is the best repair. Please use this link here for clutch replace and repair info. The belt and pump may be the next items to check for noises. How to access the washer. Clutch repair help.

Accessing front driveshaft bearings on mitsi L200 4x4 1999

If you get the outer hub off, there is a big locknut and snap rings holding the rotor and bearings in. There is a nut on the back side of the rotor is why they are spinning.

Makes clunking sounds & throws belt off pulley.

I think you have the answer. I suspect it will be the bearings that have seized up. Or possibly the spyder / drum axle broken
