Well, the important question is, are you gonna use it for racing? if not, just buy a replacement barrel and key or if you prefer having one key for everything a whole lockset. Suzuki will charge for all 4 of your limbs and maybe your **** for that, so Ebay will be your friend. or if your not to bothered about OEM parts then check out www.MandP.com or www.Demontweeks.co.uk for pattern part ignition barrels ready to plug in. the racing route is easy enough, but if its insured most insurers wont pay out in a claim as theres no steering lock and the fact anyone can jump on and start it.

Can't disarm even with toggle switch

ususally this happens when the alarm dosent read the door being open, if the alarm dosent read that the door is open you should be grounding out the door trigger (green wire in most alarms) and repeat steps to deactivate the alarm

I need a wallplate with the duplex on the left and toggle (for garbage disposal) on the right. I can only find the opposite configuration. Does this combination exist somewhere?

Rotate the plate 180 degrees so top is now the bottom, and bottom is top..
Then duplex will be on opposite side of switch.
I think that will fix the problem. Add a comment.

I'm running a toggle switch for my key and a push

Hi, connect the big hot wire from the fuse link to both the switch and the push button. On the other side of the switch, connect the pink, pink/black, and brown/white wires. Finally, connect the yellow wire to the other side of the button. Please let me know if you have any questions.

1997 Grand Prix Key stuck in ignition

A simple way to make your car secure without removing the key is ti run a wire from the positive side of the coil to a good quality toggle switch that you can mount in a discreet location (possibly somewhere easily accessable) then run a wire from the other side of the toggle switch to a metal surface ,and attache the wire with a small sheet metal screw, when you flip the switch to the on position it will ground out the coil thus preventing the engine from starting. Another way is to buy a battery cable with a switch already installed, but that is a real pain to turn on and off as you must open the hood of your vehicle to activate the switch
In my opinion the toggle switch is easy and cheap to do . It creates a theft proof system for very little money or work

Navigaiton bypass/hack for Jensen vm9512hd w nav101

buy a 3pin toggle switch
add a wire to the red wire (12v) in back of unit
do the same with the ground (black)
now install theses wires to the toggle switch (toggle switch has pictures of ground and positive pins)
install the brake wire to the pin that is empty on the toggle switch
power everything including the new installed switch and DVD should show
if not just switch the brake wire with the ground wire on the toggle switch
but the navigation should work with the unit while your driving...........this is the real trick to solve your problem
good luck

My security light comes on and i can't start my car

your car security system can not be disable but it can be bypass

but firts on these models it is the pass key the problem

on your key to strt the car you have a little round black thing with a little metal contact this is a resistance that is in your key when you put it in the hole to start your car it mesure the ressistance
and the you can start your car

the usual problem with this system is that in the ignition key lock cylinder there are two wire
and usualy one of the two wire just cut so i would remouve the stearing wheel and get that wire fix

hope that will help you !!!

the way to bypass the system is easy but you need to realy know what you will be doing

first you mesure the ressistance in the key in (ohm) and second get a ressistance the same value from any places that sells electronics

after you will find in your car the passkey decoder module (behind right side of i/p)
the two wires that come out of the box (B7 ppl/wht and B8 wht/blk)
cut these two wires and weld the ressistance in bettwen
this way you won t have to take your stearing appart
and your system will be bypass for ever

great day to you

I have a dual brand car monitor stereo that won''t show dvd

hi there
well to start the e-brake will need to be applied to allow you to see the video if it was installed correctly.................to over ride this feature you need a toggle switch with 3 pins on it
on the toggle switch there should be two logos (power & ground) if you run a small wire from the red wire from the back of your in-dash system to the toggle switch (power) and do the same for the black wire (ground wire)..........the last pin on toggle switch you attach the e-brake wire from the back of your in-dash system to the toggle switch pin and turn it on video will play
if this doesn't work switch the e-brake and ground wire around on the toggle switch
hope this helped
