Headlights wont turn off?

I cracked 1 of the 2 relays behind the headlights and dont know if that is the reason that my headlights will not turn off now unless I take out the fuse.

What is the code number on the relay for headlights for GMC Envoy

Look on the underside of the relay box cover. If it only has numbers, look in your owners manual for the identification .

Headlights wont work properly

Sounds like you have a problem in your headlight switch. As far as them staying on sometimes when you shut the car off are you referring to daytime running lamps or the regular headlights? If it's daytime running lamps that like to stay on and your headlights do not like to turn on then there could be a combination of headlight switch and daytime running lamp relay.

It is possible the relay gets the signal from the headlight switch as well, since they generally turn off when you turn your headlights on.

When i go to turn my headlights off they get stuck even if i used the twiligth they wont turn off. I have a 1994 park ave. i have to turn the button on and off until something catch. my button dont stick....

sounds like to me that the headlight relay is sticking, you need to find it and give it a tap when the problem occurs, if the lights go out, you need to replace the relay. hope this helps.

Headlights wont come on, but parking lights work...i dont get it

Was sent in by another poster, just posting his results which fixed mine. Problem was relay $50.00 at GM only.

Check the relay module. 45 or 46. on the engine relay block. you can swap the two they are the same part number, then you will know. Dont start the engine, just check the lights. If it works replace the relay module. You may have to order the part from the parts store. Or go to the dealer to get it.

Headlight wont turn offcole family racing

Only 2 things can cause this either the headlight switch or the headlight relay, chances are it's the switch,if you have a multimeter pull the relay out and probe the leads with the headlights in the off position you should only have power on 1 wire, with them on 2 wires are hot if this is the case then the relay is stuck,it's in the fuse box under the hood, another thing can cause this if the fog lights have been rewired to stay on even with highbeams on,power will feed back to the headlight circuit.
