General questions on 1995 - suzuki intruder 400

Basicly ive just bought the bike and know nothing about it

i want to know tyre pressures and what oil type it takes
also does any one know where to get a service/workshop manual
as i have searched high and low and cant find one

    Cheers for your help i still cant find the manual for the vs400 only the 700 upwards but i will keep trying thanls

Front and rear tyre pressure for Suzuki vl250 intruder
Have a look in your user manual, or look under the seat for a sticker that has that info on it. Bike tyre pressures tend to run a bit higher than cars. On my VZR1800 it's 36-42 PSI, yours probably won't be that different

Engine oil and tyre pressures
use 10W30W, that is the heaviest oil this engine needs, thicker oils can damage the bearings due to oil starvation, as far as tire pressure goes 30- 32 PSI is best for this little car.

There should be specs on the side wall of the tire for what weight you are loading the bike. normally 36 to 42 lbs

Yup nice question. For any vehicle accurate tyre pressure will give you better tyre life, low running cost, etc. Here is a chart for car tyres click here.
For bikes i havent found any chart. basically in india rear tyres having 100/90 18inch maximum tyre pressure is 32psi. front tyre having 2.75P or 80/90 18 inch uses 24 psi pressure. and do check your tyre pressure twice a month.

Bought 1994 Suzuki Intruder 1400. Had sat for 2 years. Put new battery in and now it just tries to start, but won't. Removed plugs and they looked new, but bone dry. Shouldn't they have been wet from...
it sits for 2 years so you have to general check and clean everything, first replace the battery, spark plugs oil filter(if any) have your oil change, clean and balance your carburator and air cleaner, remove your gas tank empty it and clean use new gas, if you can spray an WD40 on all wiring socket then start the bike

Your best bet is to go to a Suzuki shop and get one there. That way you know for sure you have the right battery and that it will fit your bike.

I need to know how many quarts of oil the suzuki 1500 intruder holds and when i check the oil should the bike be off.it shows more oil when the bike is off.
the bike takes just a little over 3 quarts of 10 40 and yes check it while its off
