What is best way to make Harley Dyna Super glide with stock pipes to sound louder without hindering performance?

Just bought my first Harley 8 weeks ago and now I want to make it sound louder. Everyone I talk to says louder pipes saves lives so I want louder pipes just don't know where to start.

SOURCE: change a stator

First secure the bike on a lift. disconnect battery.remove standard footpeg.Remove standard shifter. Remove all allen head bolts from outer primary cover. Some bolts are longer so keep track of where they go.Two bolts on the primary inspection cover also hold the outer to the inner primary case, so remove the cover. Now remove the outer primary case. The clutch, primary chain, adjuster, and compensating sprocket must be reoved as a single unit.Once you have done this take a rag and grasp the rotor and slide it off of the main engine shaft.Unplug the stator and remove the set screws holding it in place.Reverse procedure to install new stator.

38-42 psi is recommended but many riders prefer a lower pressure for a smoother ride.

Is the clutch cable adjusted correctly, you may need to adjust the cable so that the clutch is released more fully, there will be an adjuster on either end of the clutch cable - adjust it so that the cable is tighter - but there should be a little bit of play left in the clutch - if this does not cure the problem you could have some gearbox damage,
The bike is still under warranty so take it to a harley dealers and have them look at it.

Harley Dyna Super Glide Stuck in First - Won't Start

Rock the bike back and forth and find the spot in the middle, then try shifting up into neutral.

This will take the loading off the gears (which is normal without the engine running).

I have a 2000 HD Roadking with a stock exhaust. How can I make the stock exhaust louder

The age-old Harley stigma:Louder is better.
We all love the Harley sound but to get loud you may sacrifice performance. There are numerous after-market pipes that will improve performance and change sound but you cannot really do both. Drag pipes are the loudest but would be lousy looking on your Roadking and you lose mid-range response. Pipes have to be tuned and it is an exacting science.
Best bet is to go to J&P Cycles website and look at all the pipes. Call their tech support and ask what they recommend.
Here is an excellent web site

Will the wheels from a 2000 Harley-Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport fit on a 1999 Harley-Davidson FXDX Dyna Super Glide Sport both have dual disc brakes on front?

Check to see if they both have the same diameter axle. Harley went from a 7/8 inch diameter axle to a 1 inch diameter axle sometime around that time period.

I'm about to change the stock pipes on my dyna to

First what other mods are you considering other than pipes? Second depending on your mods you may just want to stick with your stock ECM and touch base will your local Harley shop about downloads or MAPS available for the mods (for the ECM) you want to perform on the bike. The Screamin Eagle Race Tuner (SERT) is always an option. Open or closed loop, up to you, do you want the bike to adjust to your target AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) on the fly according to the bikes needs or do you want to set the AFR based on static items. Like today's weather you may make ajustments to get 13.5 AFR, come fall and cooler drier temps...your AFR WILL be something else.

The baffles on stock pipes are welded in. For a louder sound, you take a long screw driver, or a drill bit and poke holes in the back of the muffler.
