You can download a copy of the entire manual, torque setting, head stud pattern, and every other usefulbit of info from here. Godd luck with the rebuild, let me know if you have any dramas with the manual. Cheers.

Yes it does have an alternator.
When you say "die" I assume you mean it goes flat quickly. If this is the case, then this is normally one of two things - either the alternator is faulty or the voltage regulator is faulty.
Faulty alternators can usually be identified by looking at the switched on headlight and revving the engine. If the bulb doesnt glow brighter when revved, this is usually a sign the alternator isnt working.
If by "die" you mean the battery fails altogether and has to be replaced, this sounds like it is being over charged and this is almost certainly a faulty voltage regulator.
However, as with most things in life, these are not foolproof tests, so unless you have a good understanding of electrical items, and some test equipment such as a good multimeter, it's probably best to take it to a workshop.
Also, Honda CBRs made in the 90s have a reputation for their voltage regulators failing often.

Just remove plastic located directly under seat with hand or thin object, under that is a Philip screw...take screw out and slap yourself in the face and say that was it!!!
