I dont know where you can download a manuel but if you want a really good repair and maintenance book i highly recomend Hanes.
The standard manual that comes with the bike doesnt show you how to repair anything in detail. Order a Hanes book for your bike and it will help you more than the stock manual. Here is a link for you. Its worth every penny.

Looking for a manual for my bike
Suzuki C50 Owners Manual pdf

The C50 is also called VL850
This is the owners manual, the previous one I sent is the workshop manual.

What I do is save the documents when downloaded, read at my leisure and print off any relevant pages that I need when I am looking or working on the bike.

Charging the battery
Turn off ignition. Disconnect battery terminal leads, ensure fluid levels are ok, connect charger leads. It is best if you remove battery so you can give it a clean and save your bike if something is amiss somewhere and it erupts or leaks when charging. Try the sites below for manuals or go to Wiki Q & A under S40 Boulevard, then wade thru' for links.
