Who would knowlingly counter the engineers who wrote the REV> If I were you, I'd be checking with HD.

My seat of the pants respons would otherwise be ... Hmmmmm. Maybe your system was designed for 4 ohm speakers and the new speakers are 16 OHM - which would technically put a 4 fold additional load on the amps.

I just reassembled my truck dash after installing a new heater core and now my stero speakers do not work, there is power to the actuall stero though. what is the problem.

From what you say I would check to be sure the factory stereo speaker plugs are plugged in tightly and deeply into the radio or radio harness. If you check this and still have no sound find the speaker wires at the radio and try to put an after marker speaker on the wire. There are two wires from the radio to each speaker so be sure you get the right ones. Let me know how this goes.

THUNDER 5601 WHEN VEHICLE TURNED ON, SUBS BOOM, THEN WORKS OK. ALSO WHEN RADIO TURNED OFF

If the amp produces no boom with no signal input cables connected, I'd suggest using an LOC.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

How to install Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.1 to a Toyota factroy head unit?

You will need a line level adaptor to get an audio input for the amp.

A line level adaptor is a device that lets you tap off of your speaker outputs of the radio and it converts that signal into the proper level for an RCA input signal the amplifier uses.

If you are installing the amp in the trunk of the car you can just tap off the speaker outputs of the rear speakers mounted in the trunk. Keep the speaker outputs connected to the speakers, just run an extra set of wires from them to the line level adaptor. It will not take anything away from the speakers sound because it is not a power drain on them.

After that, you just connect the power wires for the amp as you would normally and you also need to run an extra wire from the radio power antenna wire to the remote turn on of the amp, or you can use a wire directly from the battery and connect it thru a switch you would need to connect somewhere around the dash, so you can turn the amp on and off when you need to. The power antenna wire from the radio is best, so you don't need to turn the amp on and off manually. It is easy to forget about turning it off sometimes and that would run doen your battery if the amp is left on over night even with no signal going thru it.

Then connect your speakers to the amp and thats it.

Then big issue is getting an audio signal to the amp and the turn on signal for the amp.

If you need more help let me know,

I need the colour wire description for a 2000 dodge caravan Im removing the the factory stero and installing after market stero and need wring diagram , what each wire is for ,speakers ,power etc.

HI.
In the caravan are 2 types of Radio.
1. Normal sound system.
1 Premium sound system.
Note: If you don't want to cut the original wires,
You can buy a harness connector to install the aftermarket Radio. The connector are made by aplication, and are plug in.
The colour of the connector are the same colour with the Aftermarket Radio. Just you need to soldering or just put joint connectors.

Normal: colour of wires.

Pink = Battery voltage.
Red/withe = Ingnition Voltage.
Brown/red and Dark green. = Left front speaker.
Dark bku/red and Voilet = right front speaker.
Brown light blue and brown/yellow. = left rear speaker.
Dark blue/orange and dark blue white = right rear speaker.
Ground is a single wire behind the radio.

If you have a premium sound. You need to use the front speaker out to connect the speaker on the door and the speaker on the dash. To complete the 6 speaker.

OK... I hope this information work for you.

Thank you , For use fixya. Rate please.

Stereo display works fine, but no sound to speakers.

The wires may have gotten wet and fried something in the sound output in the stereo.

Factory stero to amp

If the amplifier has inputs for a high level signal, you unhook the wires going into the speaker and plug them into the amp, then hook the outputs up to the speakers. If the amp only has rca inputs, you need to also buy a line level converter. Then you unhook the speakers, hook the wires up the the converter, then hook the converter up to the amp, then hook the amp up to the speakers.

Please leave good feedback!
