Not knowing about Gilera but Some general suggestions for ignition problems control if applicable could be: a bobin(coil) sparkplug plugconnector control the gap between flywheel and ignition coil, contact points, contact breaker to mass can have a problem or even a cable,a rotor under distributor hood. or ignition not on time,
If ordering for an engine an ignition coil don't forget always to give up the serialmotor number and year of build to the seller because of marketing technical modifications can be made in the same production year of different ignition coils or flywheels and other.

How to install HID to honda xrm 125

Did you buy a HID bulb or did you buy the kit with the ballast etc? Usually an HID lamp will come with a ballast and wiring loom which is per fitted with relays etc. you would normally plug this loom into the headlight socket of your bike's wiring and then tidy the ballast etc behind the fairing and replacing your bulb with the HID lamp. If you don't have the loom and ballast they're pretty easy to come by on the auction sites.

My gilera keeps needing a new spark plug

1st: Are u sure you're using the right spark? There are short and longer sparks, so check it;

2nd: Check if you're using a good oil, since sounds there are excess of oil on cylinder. Maybe changing the autolube oil could help.

Hi, My brake light on my Gilera cougar seems to be constantly on. I've only just bought the bike so not sure if it turns off when riding and stays on when parked. Possibly the front switch on the...

could be either switch at fault, start by pulling the wire connectors off the rear switch to see if the light extinguishes, if so its the rear switch, if not its the front.

My Gilera Nexus 500 developed annoying vibrations, which are particularly prominent at low speeds. Garage man could not find problem. Any idea what is causing them and how to fix them?

It could be a wheel balance problem, engine misbalance due to poor firing on one or more cylinders or a wheel bearing. Place the bike on a paddock stand to check for wheel balance and wheel bearing errors.

Piaggio nrg mc3 recently changed spark plug ran ok after for 2 weeks or so but went for a ride saturday but started juddering and conked out but got it home and cleaned the plug etc and its fired up twice...

If its a 2 stroke try fitting "Brand New" Spark plug. If problem persists check plug condition as could have too much 2 stroke coming through via 2 stroke pump, Water in the fuel or poorly setup Carburettor.

Gilera runner stolen, changed barrel/immobiliser, no spark

There's a procedure to recode new keys, so the immobilizer let's you use the new key, if (and only if) you have the master key (red). Look at this PDF:
http://www.wotmeworry.org.uk/manuals/Gilera%20Nexus/Gilera%20Nexus%20500%20Mk1%20Workshop%20Manual.pdf

Look for "Setting the Circuit" in the PDF.
Good luck!
